The Wooden Shiba
Scene 1: Last-Minute Preparations
The salty breeze flows through the shores of Shibaville as Senshi, the fiery warrior Shiba, scans the coastline for materials. His paws sink into the warm sand as he searches for the perfect materials for his entry in the Annual Shiba Build-a-Thon competition.
Senshi (muttering): “Biru wins every year… but this time will be different!”
Determined, he gathers smooth driftwood, sea-polished stones, and large sea shells. His mind races with ideas, but deep down, he knows that outbuilding Biru will take more than just effort—it will take something extraordinary.
Scene 2: A Sinister Plan
Far beyond the shore, hidden in the dense forest, General Yuki and Big Yama lurk beneath the trees, whispering about their latest scheme.
General Yuki (grinning): “That Build-a-Thon nonsense will keep the village busy… it will be the perfect time to strike.”
Big Yama (scratching his head): “Uhhhh… strike how, boss?”
General Yuki (with a sinister grin): “Simple, you oversized oaf. We sneak in at night and destroy every entry. No entries, no Build-a-Thon, no fun; Only chaos!”
To execute their plan, they construct a giant wooden Shiba statue, hollow on the inside, large enough for them to hide within. The goal? Trick an unsuspecting villager into bringing it back to the square, so they can launch their attack at night from the inside.
General Yuki (with a grin expressing superiority): “They’ll never see this coming!”
Scene 3: A Curious Discovery
As Senshi walks along the shore, a glimmer of polished wood catches his eye. His jaw drops as he spots the giant wooden Shiba, standing majestically against the backdrop of the setting sun.
Senshi (eyes wide): “This… this is incredible!”
He circles it, admiring the craftsmanship. Its design is unlike anything he could build himself.
Senshi (grinning): “No way Biru beats this, this will be my entry! He’s gonna be so jealous!”
Without hesitation, he calls over a few Shibas for help and hauls the wooden Shiba back to the village, abandoning his original entry.
Scene 4: A Suspicious Rival
As Senshi drags the wooden Shiba into the village square, the crowd of Shibalings immediately shifts their attention. They had been admiring Biru’s latest creation, but now they are captivated by the towering wooden Shiba instead.
Shibalings (whispering): “Whoa… look at that!”
Biru, who had been standing proudly beside his own entry, furrows his brow. He approaches Senshi, eyeing the wooden Shiba with suspicion.
Biru: “Senshi… did you make this?”
Senshi hesitates for a second before puffing out his chest.
Senshi (turning red, nodding hesitantly): “Of course! Pretty amazing, huh?”
Just then, a muffled sound comes from inside the wooden Shiba. (Big Yama shifting, followed by General Yuki angrily whispering at him to keep still.)
Biru (raising an eyebrow): ” Did you hear that?”, ” Hmm … probably just the wind!”
Biru’s instincts tell him something is off. But instead of questioning it further, he dismisses his thoughts, assuming his jealousy is making him paranoid.
Scene 5: The Midnight Attack
That night, all Shibas sleep soundly — except for one. Biru tosses and turns, worried about Senshi’s wooden Shiba breaking his long-standing Build-a-Thon winning streak.
Biru (grumbling): “Maybe if I just tweak my entry a bit…”
He gets up and sneaks toward the village square, but as he arrives, he spots movement near the wooden Shiba. His eyes widen as General Yuki and Big Yama emerge from inside the statue!
Biru (gasping): “I knew it!”
The two villains begin wrecking every entry, kicking over wooden structures, tearing up woven displays, and stomping on delicate creations.
Biru (furious): “STOP THAT!”
He charges at them. Yuki dodges swiftly while Big Yama catches Biru in a powerful bear hug, squeezing him tightly.
Big Yama (laughing): “Heh, gotcha now!”
Biru struggles and can’t break free. Desperate, he reaches for his Kozuchi Hammer—a weapon so powerful, even he struggles to control it.
Biru’s hammer wildly swings left and right, sending General Yuki and Big Yama flying out of the village. In the process, shattering all Build-a-Thon entries.
Biru (looking around in horror): “Oh no…”
Scene 6: Repairing the Damage
Knowing how much effort every Shiba put into their entries, Biru works tirelessly through the night, rebuilding them one by one. He reconstructs what he can, using whatever materials remain.
However, as dawn approaches, he looks at his own entry — completely destroyed. There’s no time left to fix his.
Biru (exhausted, sighing): “I guess… this year won’t be mine.”
Scene 7: The Morning After
As the sun rises, the Shibas eagerly gather in the square. Gasps fill the air as they see Biru’s shattered entry.
Shibalings (shocked): “What happened?!”
Biru, still catching his breath, explains everything — how the evil General Yuki and Big Yama had hidden inside the wooden Shiba, their plan to ruin the Build-a-Thon, and how he had to use the Kozuchi Hammer to stop them.
Senshi lowers his head in shame.
Senshi: “This is all my fault… I shouldn’t have brought that wooden Shiba into the village. I just wanted to beat Biru so badly…”
Biru (tired, yet smiling): “You couldn’t have known. And besides, it wasn’t your fault Yuki had an evil plan.”
Senshi somewhat agrees, still feeling guilty…
Scene 8: A True Champion
The competition begins. Biru, accepting his loss steps back, ready to cheer on the others. But suddenly…
Shibalings (cheering): “Biru! Biru! Biru!”
Biru (blinking in surprise): “Huh?”
One of the elder Shibas steps forward.
Elder Shiba: “The Build-a-Thon isn’t just about who builds the best entry. It’s about dedication, heart, and community.”
Shibalings: “And you saved the Build-a-Thon!”
With overwhelming support, the Shibas vote for Biru as the winner.
Biru, touched by the gesture, chuckles softly.
Biru (grinning): “Guess my streak isn’t over just yet.”
Senshi playfully agrees…
Senshi (smirking): “Next year, though… I’m winning fair and square!”
Laughter and cheers fill the air as the Shibas celebrate yet another unforgettable Build-a-Thon, knowing that, no matter what, their village always stands together.
